Mary (Bacialli) and Sam Vitali

At one time, Sam owned the land which Knobview's westernmost knob is located on, and he built the house that was once there. He and Mary later moved to St. Louis where they owned a store but returned to the area, buying a store along Route 66 in Fanning, located approximately halfway between Knobview and Cuba. Sam was the Fanning Postmaster from 1929-1952.
